Christian Alexis Garcia Segundo has filed a lawsuit against Home Depot USA, Inc., alleging negligence and premises liability following an incident that resulted in personal injury. The complaint was lodged on January 23, 2025, in the District Court of Harris County, Texas. The plaintiff claims that Home Depot failed to maintain safe conditions at their Pasadena location, leading to an accident where Garcia Segundo was injured by a detached door.

According to the petition, Christian Alexis Garcia Segundo visited a Home Depot store located at Fairmont Parkway in Pasadena, Texas, on January 24, 2023. During this visit, he was struck by a front door that had become detached due to windy conditions. This unexpected event caused significant physical injuries to Garcia Segundo. He reported the incident to Home Depot employees and sought medical attention for his injuries. The plaintiff alleges that the negligence of Home Depot in maintaining and securing the premises led directly to his injuries.

Garcia Segundo's lawsuit accuses Home Depot of several acts of negligence. These include failing to follow reasonable procedures to prevent injuries, conducting negligent activities that posed an unreasonable risk of harm, and not exercising ordinary care or control over their employees. Furthermore, the plaintiff asserts that Home Depot breached its duty to inspect and make safe any dangerous conditions on its premises or provide adequate warnings about such hazards.

The plaintiff is seeking both special and general damages from Home Depot. These damages include compensation for past and future medical expenses related to his injuries, physical pain and mental anguish suffered as a result of the incident, as well as physical impairment or disfigurement experienced both in the past and anticipated in the future. Additionally, Garcia Segundo seeks court costs and pre-judgment interest from the date of injury through judgment at the maximum rate allowed by law.

Representing Christian Alexis Garcia Segundo is attorney Jason Castaneda from Houston, Texas. The case is filed under Case ID 2025-04631 in Harris County's 152nd Judicial District Court.
