Angelita Cobos Salazar has filed a lawsuit against a popular Mexican restaurant, alleging negligence that led to her severe injuries. The complaint was lodged on March 7, 2025, in the District Court of Harris County, Texas, targeting Los Ramirez Mexican Restaurant of Clearlake Inc. as the defendant.

The case revolves around an incident that occurred on March 8, 2024, when Angelita Cobos Salazar visited the Los Ramirez Mexican Restaurant located at 463 Bay Area Blvd., Houston. According to the petition, Salazar slipped and fell on a wet and slippery substance while entering the restaurant's restroom area. The absence of warning signs or any indication of the hazardous condition contributed to her fall and subsequent injuries. As an invitee of the establishment, Salazar asserts that she had no prior knowledge of the dangerous condition and could not have reasonably discovered it herself.

Salazar's lawsuit accuses Los Ramirez Mexican Restaurant of premises liability and negligence. She argues that as the owner and occupier of the premises, the restaurant had a duty to maintain safe conditions for its patrons. "Defendant either created the condition and/or failed to correct it or warn Plaintiff about it," states the petition. The lawsuit further alleges that Los Ramirez Mexican Restaurant failed in several aspects: maintaining safe conditions on floors and walkways, inspecting for hazards, correcting dangerous conditions promptly, and informing patrons like Salazar about potential risks.

In seeking justice from the court, Angelita Cobos Salazar is pursuing monetary relief exceeding $250,000 but not more than $1 million. Her claims include compensation for past and future medical expenses, physical pain, mental anguish, physical impairment, wage loss, loss of earnings capacity, and loss of household services. Additionally, she requests prejudgment and post-judgment interest along with court costs.

Representing Angelita Cobos Salazar is attorney J. Terrelle Bynum from Law Offices of Domingo Garcia L.L.P., based in Houston. The case is being heard in Harris County's 269th Judicial District Court under Case ID 2025-15617 with Judge Christopher Matthows presiding over proceedings.
