A vicious dog attack has led to a lawsuit that underscores the potential dangers of pet ownership. Corey Krenek filed a complaint in the District Court of Harris County, Texas, on March 21, 2025, against Robyn Alexander following an incident involving her pit bull. The lawsuit alleges negligence and seeks substantial damages for injuries sustained during the attack.

According to the court documents, Corey Krenek was visiting Robyn Alexander's residence as a social guest on November 20, 2023. During his stay, he was attacked by Alexander's pit bull while sleeping on a couch. The attack resulted in severe injuries including lacerations to his jugular area and leg, requiring medical attention at Memorial Hermann hospital. Krenek claims that Alexander knew of her dog's dangerous propensities due to its history of violent behavior towards people and animals but failed to take necessary precautions. The plaintiff is seeking damages ranging from $250,000 to $1,000,000 for physical pain, mental anguish, disfigurement, and other related expenses.

The lawsuit outlines several causes of action against Alexander: strict liability for owning a dangerous animal, negligent handling of the animal, gross negligence for failing to restrain or supervise the dog properly, and negligence per se for violating local ordinances regarding dangerous dogs. Specifically cited is City of Katy Ordinance Div. 3 §2.03.081 which mandates registration and restraint of known dangerous dogs along with liability insurance coverage—a requirement Alexander allegedly ignored.

Krenek argues that each act or omission by Alexander directly contributed to his injuries and asserts that she acted with conscious indifference towards public safety by allowing her aggressive pit bull unrestricted access within her home. As part of his legal relief sought from the court system beyond compensatory damages are exemplary damages under Texas Civil Practices & Remedies Code Sections 41.001 et seq., penalties provided by city or county ordinance violations related attorney fees along with pre-and post-judgment interest.

Representing Corey Krenek is attorney Bryce Romero from Gary E. Patterson P.C., based in Houston Texas; however no information about Robyn Alexander’s legal representation is available at this time nor any assigned judge overseeing case number 2025-19305 filed under Court:164 Judicial District Harris County TX.
