A woman has filed a lawsuit against a well-known grocery chain, claiming negligence after suffering injuries in one of their stores. Tyesha V. Lang initiated the legal proceedings on April 8, 2025, in the District Court of Harris County, Texas, accusing H-E-B, L.P. of failing to maintain safe premises.

According to the court documents, Lang's complaint stems from an incident that occurred on March 6, 2024, at an H-E-B store located at 24924 Morton Ranch Rd., Katy, Texas. The plaintiff alleges that while she was shopping as an invitee on the premises, she slipped and fell due to a liquid substance believed to be water on the floor. This fall resulted in severe personal injuries for Lang. She claims that H-E-B was aware of this hazardous condition but failed to rectify it or warn her about it. "Your Plaintiff did not have any knowledge of the dangerous condition," states the petition, emphasizing that H-E-B's negligence was the proximate cause of her injuries.

Lang asserts that her conduct during the incident was reasonable and prudent and did not contribute to her injuries. As a result of this accident, she has suffered permanent bodily impairment and continues to endure physical pain and mental anguish. Furthermore, Lang anticipates incurring ongoing medical expenses related to her injuries.

The plaintiff is seeking monetary relief ranging from $250,000 to $1 million as compensation for her damages. Additionally, she requests pre-judgment and post-judgment interest at the highest legal rate allowed by law and seeks coverage for court costs and any other relief deemed appropriate by the court.

Representing Tyesha V. Lang is attorney Donald G. DeSimone from DeSimone Law Office based in Houston, Texas. The case is filed under Case ID 2025-24228 with Judge Marilyn Burgess presiding over the matter.
