Destiny Cypher has taken legal action against Ebrahim Jawadi, accusing him of negligence following a car accident that occurred in Harris County, Texas. The complaint was filed by Cypher on April 11, 2025, in the District Court of Harris County, Texas, naming Ebrahim Jawadi as the defendant.

According to the details laid out in the petition, Destiny Cypher alleges that on July 31, 2024, while traveling on West Sam Houston Parkway in Harris County, she was involved in a collision caused by Jawadi's failure to control his vehicle's speed. This failure allegedly resulted in his vehicle colliding with hers. The plaintiff claims that Jawadi's actions were negligent and directly led to her injuries and damages. The complaint outlines several specific accusations against Jawadi: failing to maintain a safe distance between vehicles, not yielding appropriately, operating at an unsafe speed for conditions, and neglecting to apply brakes timely to avoid the collision. These acts are said to constitute a breach of duty owed by Jawadi to exercise reasonable care while driving.

Cypher's lawsuit is seeking monetary relief ranging from $250,000 to $1 million for various damages including medical expenses incurred due to bodily injury, physical pain and suffering both past and future, mental anguish, physical impairment, lost wages and earning capacity loss potentiality in the future. Furthermore, Cypher accuses Jawadi of violating state statutes such as Texas Transportation Code §545.062 concerning following distances which is considered negligence per se—an act inherently negligent because it violates laws meant to protect public safety.

The plaintiff seeks judgment for damages within the jurisdictional limits of the court along with pre-judgment interest from the date of injury through judgment date at maximum legal rates allowed by law; post-judgment interest; costs associated with bringing this suit; and any other relief deemed appropriate by equity or law.

Representing Destiny Cypher is attorney Emile Lopez from Godsey Martin P.C., located in Addison, Texas. The case has been assigned Case ID 2025-25505 under Judge Kobi Fatsura’s oversight at the 113th Judicial District Court in Harris County.
