A Texas resident has filed a lawsuit against a construction company, alleging negligence that led to serious injuries. Lori Lee submitted her complaint in the District Court of Harris County, Texas, on April 10, 2025, targeting iCon GC, LLC as the defendant.

According to the court documents, Lori Lee accuses iCon GC, LLC—a general contracting firm based in Houston—of failing to maintain safe conditions during their excavation work near her home in Humble, Texas. The plaintiff claims that on September 12, 2023, while retrieving mail from her mailbox, she encountered a hidden drop-down and mud caused by the construction activities. This led to a fall resulting in severe injuries including cuts and damage to her knee. "The mud contained hidden and dangerous objects which caused Mrs. Lee’s leg to be deeply cut and injured," states the petition. The plaintiff argues that iCon GC's employees failed to perform their duties safely and did not provide adequate warnings about potential hazards.

Lori Lee's legal action centers around accusations of negligence and premises liability. She contends that iCon GC had control over the premises where she was injured and neglected their duty to ensure safety. The lawsuit claims that the defendant "failed to keep the premises safe" and created an "unreasonably dangerous condition." Additionally, it alleges that iCon GC breached its duty by not inspecting or maintaining safe conditions or providing necessary warnings about risks present at the site.

The plaintiff is seeking monetary relief ranging from $256,000 to $1,006,000 for damages incurred due to medical expenses—both past and future—as well as physical pain, disfigurement, mental anguish, and physical impairment. Lori Lee demands a jury trial for this case.

Representing Lori Lee is attorney Dean P. Barth from The Hennessy Law Firm located in Houston. The case is being presided over by Judge Rhonda Momon under Case ID 2025-25226.
