FELA suit brought against BNSF Railway

A former BNSF Railway employee is suing the company for alleged repetitive physical trauma he suffered during his employment.

Under the Federal Employment Liability Act, Chester Crain filed the suit in Jefferson County District Court.

According to the lawsuit, during the course of his employment with BNSF, Crain suffered a repetitive trauma injury to his back and other parts of his body. The injuries occurred over a protracted period of time.

The suit alleges BNSF negligently failed to provide Crain with a safe workplace and failed to supply him with the tools and manpower required to complete his work properly.

The plaintiff is suing for his alleged past and future medical expenses, mental anguish, pain, impairment, disfigurement and lost wages, plus all court costs.

Houston attorney Sara Youngdahl of Youngdahl & Citti represents the plaintiff.

Judge Gary Sanderson, 6oth District Court, has been assigned to the case.
