A total of 13 new lawsuits against insurance companies over Hurricane Ike damage claims were filed in Jefferson County District Court, Jan. 30-Feb. 10.
The following complaints were filed:
Glenn and Yoshi Alexander of 3801 Lakeshore Drive in Port Arthur, 2700 Procter St. in Port Arthur and 3326 Sixth St. in Port Arthur allege Texas Windstorm Insurance Association denied their claim for damages caused to their home after Hurricane Ike struck on Sept. 13, 2008. Barnes Memorial Methodist Church of 749 W. 17th St. in Port Arthur alleges Texas Windstorm Insurance Association denied its claim for roof and water damages caused to its property after Hurricane Ike struck on Sept. 13, 2008.
