MARSHALL – A motorist is suing a Missouri-based transportation company over injuries allegedly suffered during a crash on a highway in Longview involving a tractor-trailer.

Naymond Montgomery Jr. filed a lawsuit Jan. 8 against Gregory Logistics Inc. and John M. Greer in the Marshall Division of the Eastern District of Texas, citing negligence.

According to the complaint, on Feb. 4, 2014, Montgomery was driving a 2006 Ford F-150 pickup truck southbound on South Eastman Road near the intersection of Interstate Highway 20 when he was struck by a 2008 Freightliner tractor-trailer driven by Greer and owned by Gregory Logistics.

Greer, traveling northbound in the left turn lane, was preparing to make a left turn onto South Access Road, when, according to the lawsuit, suddenly and without warning, Greer failed to yield the right of way and struck Montgomery’s vehicle.

Montgomery seeks actual damages, post-judgment interest, court costs and fees. He is represented by attorney Brent Goudarzi of Goudarzi & Young LLP of Gilmer,.
