HOUSTON – Two individuals allege they were injured when their vehicle was struck by a tow truck in a parking lot.

Vanessa Ruiz and Dawrence Copeland filed a complaint on Nov. 12 in the Harris County District Court against National Roadside Inc. alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that on July 23, they were in a vehicle parked at the Family Dollar on Cullen Street when defendant's tow truck collided with their vehicle. They allege they suffered severe injuries to their neck, back and other parts of the body as a result of the collision.

The plaintiffs holds National Roadside Inc. responsible because defendant's driver allegedly failed to control his vehicle's speed, failed to keep a proper lookout and failed to maintain a safe distance.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek monetary relief of more than $200,000 but less than $1 million and such other and further relief to which plaintiff may be justly entitled. They are represented by M. Paul Skrabanek and Betty Feng of Pierce Skrabanek PLLC in Houston.
