HOUSTON – A Harris County woman is seeking more than $200,000 over a fall allegedly caused by water on the floor of a Houston store.

Rosa De La Rosa filed a complaint on Jan. 10 in the Harris County District Court against Shazy Enterprises, et al. alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Sept. 14, 2017, she was an invitee at defendants' Nothing Over 99 Cents store in Houston when she slipped and fell on water on the floor and was injured.

The plaintiff holds Shazy Enterprises, et al. responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to dry the wet floor in a timely manner.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks monetary relief of more than $200,000 but less than $1 million and such other and further relief to which she may be justly entitled. She is represented by Ruben Bonilla, Ed Chapa and William Asare of Bonilla & Chapa PC in Corpus Christi.
