HOUSTON – A man alleges he was injured at a supermarket because liquid on the floor in one of the aisles caused him to fall.

Winston Nguyen filed a complaint on Jan. 25 in the Harris County District Court against H Mart Houston Inc. alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on March 16, 2018, he was a customer at defendant's H Mart store on Blalock Road in Houston when he slipped on liquid in an aisle and fell. He alleges he sustained significant injuries that resulted in pain and suffering, mental anguish, disfigurement and medical expenses.

The plaintiff holds H Mart Houston Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to maintain its premises in a safe condition and failed to adequately warn its invitees of the dangerous condition.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks monetary relief of more than $200,000 but less than $1 million and such other and further relief to which he may be justly entitled. He is represented by M. Paul Skabranek and Rachael P. Vincent of Pierce Skabranek PLLC in Houston and Sarah Y-Nhi Huynh and Pavel "Paul" Savinov of The Huynh Law Firm PLLC in Houston.
