HOUSTON – A Fort Bend County hospital is suing a part owner and her business for alleged theft.

According to recent Harris County District Court records, Atrium Medical Center LP filed a lawsuit against Arusha Bavare and J and B Associates LLC, doing business as Chelsea Gardens, on Apr. 5 in the Harris County 11th District Court.

The plaintiff accuses Bavare, who reportedly was once part of its management staff, of borrowing and transferring funds and assets totaling “at least” $450,000 to herself; her spouse, Amod Bavare; Chelsea Gardens; and an individual named Swati Joglekar.

The money in question has not been paid back despite multiple requests, the original petition says.

Amod Bavare and Joglekar are listed as co-defendants in the litigation.

A jury trial is requested.

Pritesh Soni of The Soni Law Firm PLLC in Houston is representing Atrium.
