West Houston Medical faces suit after man claims he suffered permanent damage due to untreated infection

HOUSTON — West Houston Medical Center and others are facing a negligence suit filed by a man who claims he has permanent damage to his arm and hand due to an untreated infection. 

Titus Chettipally filed a complaint Dec. 26 in the Harris County District Court against Khaja Moinuddeen, M.D., HCA Health Services of Texas doing business as HCA Houston Healthcare West frequently known as West Houston Medical Center and others alleging medical negligence.

According to his complaint, Chettipally began receiving treatment from the defendants on Jan. 15, 2018. He alleges that Moinuddeen caused him to suffer an infection in his fistula that West Houston failed to correctly diagnose and treat which has caused permanent damage to his left arm and left hand. 

Chettipally seeks monetary relief, trial by jury, interest and all other just relief. He is represented by Byron Barclay of The Barclay Law Firm in Houston.
