HOUSTON – A former Kelsey Seybold Clinic nurse alleges she was discriminated against and fired because of her age.

Dana Bailey filed a complaint Jan. 7 in the Houston Division of the Southern District of Texas against KS Management Services LLC, individually and doing business as Kelsey Seybold Clinic, alleging violation of the Age Discrimination in Employment Act.

Bailey began working at KS Management's Houston location on March 24, 2014, as a nurse. In September 2016, she was promoted to nurse coordinator, but she claims she began to face age discrimination that included being assigned patients at "a much higher rate" than any other nurse coordinator, given "unnecessary responsibilities," written up and eventually fired for fabricated reasons. Bailey, who was 54 at the time, alleges KS was trying to replace her with a younger employee.

Bailey seeks monetary relief, trial by jury, interest and all other just relief. She is represented by Bruce Coane of Coane and Associates PLLC in Houston.
