Former Silverado Senior Living employee claims negligence after suffering injury while lifting patient

HOUSTON — A former Silverado Senior Living Management employee who was injured while lifting a patient as part of her job duties is claiming the senior care facility's negligence. 

Heidy Sanchez filed a complaint Feb. 24 in the Harris County District Court against Silverado Senior Living Management Inc., doing business as Silverado Vintage Preserve Memory Care Community alleging negligence. 

Sanchez was working for Silverado Vintage Preserve Memory Care in Houston on Feb. 28, 2018. She alleges that she suffered injuries while lifting a patient that she was assisting. Sanchez claims she suffered physical pain, mental anguish and other issues as a result of her injuries and that Silverado failed to properly train her or provide proper equipment and supervision. 

Sanchez seeks monetary relief less than $75,000, trial by jury, interest and all other just relief. She is represented by Attorney Sofia Bruera in Houston.
