AUSTIN — The owners of an Austin strip club are facing a suit filed by a dancer who claims the club failed to pay entertainers a wage and took a percentage of their tips.

Brenna Wilder also known as Emily filed a complaint Feb. 26 in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas Austin Division against Benelux Corporation also known as The Palazio frequently known as The Show Palace, Anthanases Stamatopoulos and Lampros Moumouris alleging violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act.

Wilder began working as a dancer/entertainer at the defendant's "adult-oriented entertainment facility" in Austin in November of 2017. She alleges that she and other dancers were not paid an hourly wage or any wage but instead were compensated through customer tips which they were required to share with the defendants. Wilder also claims dancers worked more than 40 hours in some weeks without overtime pay.

Wilder seeks monetary relief of at least $100,000, trial by jury, interest and all other just relief. She is represented by Jarrett Ellzey and Leigh Montgomery of Huges Ellzey LLP in Houston and John Kristensen of Kristensen LLP in Los Angeles.
