Woman sues Murcia Trucking after being injured in collision involving one of their drivers

HOUSTON — Murcia Trucking is facing a negligence suit from a woman who suffered severe injuries when one of its driver's collided with her vehicle. 

Leigh Ellis filed a complaint March 16 in the Harris County District Court against Murcia Trucking Inc., and Nathaniel Wilson alleging negligence. Ellis was driving in Harris County on Feb. 25, 2020. She alleges that Wilson, an employee of Murcia, who was driving the company's box truck, made an "improper turn" and collided with her vehicle.  Ellis claims she suffered severe bodily injuries including disfigurement, lost wages and incurred medical expenses.

Ellis seeks monetary relief between $200,000 and $1 million, interest, trial by jury and all other just relief. She is represented by Derek Causey of Hope & Causey PC in Conroe.
