Woman sues Camping World, others claiming camper is defective, unrepairable

TYLER — A woman is suing Camping World and others alleging her nearly $45,000 camper is defective and unrepairable. 

Deborah Tomlin filed a complaint March 17 in the Tyler Division of the Eastern District of Texas against Heartland Recreational Vehicles LLC and CampingWorld RV Sales LLC alleging violation of the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act, Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, breach of express warranties and/or contract, negligence and breach of contract. 

Tomlin purchased a 2019 Heartland Pioneer 290 from Camping World on March 30, 2019 for $42,000. She alleges that the Pioneer had defective workmanship and materials that caused water to pool in the storage compartment. Tomlin claims she took the trailer to Camping World for repair  on May 4, 2019 and after an extended period time, they. failed to make the needed repairs. She alleges she has lost money on her RV site and two paid vacations. 

Tomlin seeks monetary relief of more than $75,000, trial by jury, interest and all other just relief. She is represented by Attorney Richard Dalton in Mandeville, Louisiana.
