HOUSTON — A Texas couple is facing a lawsuit alleging they refused to turn over their auto business to the buyer despite having a written sales agreement and accepting a $75,000 down payment.

Ronald Lochte and Angels Auto Center and Performance Inc., filed a complaint March 12 in the Harris County District Court against John Baldwin, Joyce Baldwin and Angels Auto Center Inc., alleging fraud.

Ronald Lochte signed an agreement with the Baldwins in January of 2019 for the purchase their Angels Auto Center for $500,000 and a downpayment of $75,000. Lochte alleges that after a dispute over an "early payoff clause" he wanted to add to the agreement, the Baldwins refuse to relinquish Angels Auto Center and informed him that he forfeited his down payment.

Lochte seeks monetaryr relief, trial by jury and all other just relief. He is represented by Shawn Mamasis of Mamsis & Associates PC in Houston.
