HOUSTON — A Houston dentist is facing a suit by a patient alleging he suffered a fractured jaw after his wisdom teeth removal.
Alphonse Gatlin, Jr., filed a complaint April 24 in Harris County District Court against Benito Remedios, DDS, individually and doing business as Medical Center Oral Surgery PA alleging negligence.
Gatlin underwent surgery performed by Remedios to extract his wisdom teeth on Sept. 13, 2018. Gatlin claims that he suffered a fractured jaw where his wisdom teeth were extracted and required three separate surgeries to repair his jaw. He alleges Remedios also failed to manage his condition post surgery and to refer him to an oral surgeon or specialist for treatment.
