HOUSTON – Fiesta Mart was recently hit with a slip and fall lawsuit seeking up to $200,000 in damages.

Kazahra Gallegos filed suit against Fiesta Mart on June 8 in Harris County District Court.

According to the lawsuit, on June 9, 2018 the Gallegos and her family were shopping at Fiesta Mart. They were heading toward the produce section when she slipped on some red liquid and fell.

“This slippery substance caused plaintiff to be viciously hurled downward onto the tile floor,” the suit states. “As plaintiff plummeted downward, she landed on her hip and back unnaturally.”

The plaintiff alleges the defendant negligently failed to warn of the dangerous condition and is suing for her past and future medical expenses, pain, mental anguish, impairment, loss of consortium and loss of household services.

Houston attorney Jonathan Cox represents her.
