HOUSTON – A woman alleging she slipped in an elevator nearly two years ago is suing Marriott.
Seeking more than $1 million in damages, Yokahoma Johnson filed suit against the Houston Convention Center and Marriott International.
According to the lawsuit, on Aug. 14, 2018, Johnson was a guest at the Marriott Marquis in Houston. While walking into an elevator, she slipped on a liquid that was covering the elevator floor.
She is alleging the defendants negligently failed to inspect and maintain the premises.
Johnson is suing for her past and future pain, mental anguish, impairment and medical expenses.
