HOUSTON – A Collin County man is seeking “vengeance” against the Houston Astros, alleging the ball club showed him no gratitude after it won a World Series championship because of his advice.
Seeking more than $1 million in damages, Ismail M. Ismail filed suit against the Astros on Nov. 9 in Harris County District Court.
According to the complaint, during the 2017 playoffs Ismail provided the Astros advice by completing an online form on the ball club’s website.
The advice ranged from how to manage pitchers to improving the hitting of George Springer.
“Ismail requested that the Astros show their gratitude with a $535,000 suggested donation and a World Series Ring, but the complicit Houston Astros did absolutely nothing,” the suit states.
The suit is alleging criminal conspiracy and intentional infliction of emotional distress.
Ismail is representing himself.
