Lucas Construction files $305,000 breach of contract lawsuit against the city of Dickinson

GALVESTON – A construction company has filed a lawsuit against the city of Dickinson claiming nearly $305,000.00 in unpaid construction fees. 

Lucas Construction Company, Inc filed the lawsuit in the Galveston County District Court against the City of Dickinson, citing breach of contract.

According to the lawsuit, Lucas Construction Company was contracted by the City of Dickinson to complete a project. Lucas alleges that it has completed all work as required by the contract, but that the city still owes substantial unpaid fees in the amount of $304,489.84. The plaintiff claims that the city has refused to pay the amount despite repeated demands for payment. 

The plaintiff is seeking damages for this amount, plus interest, attorney fees, court costs and any other relief the court deems proper. Lucas is represented in this case by attorney William B. Westcott and William W. Davidson of Andrews Myers Attorneys at Law in Houston.
