GALVESTON — A Houston based business is facing a breach of contract claim for failing to make payments on leased equipment.

Sarasota CCM filed a compliant May 10 in Galveston County District Court against Hi Tork Power Inc. and Jorge Tijerina alleging breach of contract.

According to the plaintiff's complaint, Hi Tork entered into a lease agreement with Innovative Lease Services Inc., on Jan. 9, 2020, to lease equipment with Tijerina guaranteeing payment under the lease terms. Sarasota further claims Hi Tork inspected and accepted the delivery of the equipment and that they were sold and assigned the rights, title and interest to the lease.

They allege Hi Tork defaulted on their obligations under the lease to make payments as they were due and that as of December 2021, the amount owed on the lease was $22,745.83. The plaintiffs further allege the defendants have failed and refused to pay the amount owed along with interest despite demands for payment and that the defendants are in breach of of the  lease agreement.

Sarasota seeks monetary relief, interest and all other just relief. They are represented by Steven Lownds of Quilling, Selander, Lownds, Winslett & Moser PC in Dallas.
