A woman has filed a friendly suit on behalf of a minor for injuries the minor sustained in a traffic incident involving a tractor-trailer.
According to court discovery documents, Dominique L. Charles as next friend of A.M.C., a minor, filed a complaint Sept. 6 against GSC Wholesale LLC; C&S Wholesale Grocers, Inc.; C&S Wholesale Grocers, LLC; and John K. Lepovitz. The complaint was filed in the 215th District Court of Harris County, TX.
The complaint says that on May 29, 2022, A.M.C. was a back-seat passenger in vehicle traveling northbound on Interstate Highway 45 North in Houston. Lepovitz, a GSC employee, was driving a 2020 Volvo tractor and trailer owned by his employer. The vehicle A.M.C. was in was in lane four, next to the tractor Lepovitz was driving. The complaint says as he merged onto the northbound traffic lanes from the on-ramp, he struck the vehicle in which A.M.C. was a passenger.
The complaint says Lepovitz was negligent for making an unsafe lane change and caused the incident, as well as A.M.C.’s injuries and damages.
The plaintiff is asking the court for judgment against the defendants and any other just relief.
The plaintiff is being represented by Jim S. Adler and Angela R. Boone of Jim S. Adler & Associates in Houston, Texas.
