Anastasiya Ovchinnikova sues Stuart Prall and Claudia Garcia for injuries from a dog attack

In the District Court of Harris County, Texas, Anastasiya Ovchinnikova has filed a lawsuit against Stuart Prall and Claudia Garcia. The case, filed on April 5, 2024, under cause number 2024-21 692, pertains to an incident involving a dog attack that resulted in severe injuries to the plaintiff.

The plaintiff, Ovchinnikova, is a resident of Houston while the defendants Prall and Garcia reside in Anahuac and New Caney respectively. On May 6, 2022, Ovchinnikova was attacked by two dogs that escaped from the defendants' property at 415 Brushy Glen Drive Houston. The plaintiff suffered serious injuries due to this attack which she attributes to the negligence of the defendants.

Ovchinnikova alleges that Prall and Garcia failed in their duty of care by not restraining their dogs adequately. She further argues that they were aware or should have been aware of their dogs' dangerous propensities prior to the attack.

As a result of this incident, Ovchinnikova is seeking damages for past and future physical pain and suffering, mental anguish, medical expenses incurred for treatment of her injuries both past and anticipated future ones, loss of earnings from date of injury to time of trial as well as future loss of earnings capacity. She also seeks compensation for physical disfigurement and impairment along with court costs.
