In the District Court of Harris County, Texas, plaintiff Trent Pruett has filed a lawsuit against Enterprise Offshore Drilling LLC. The case ID is 2024-27218 and was filed on April 29, 2024. The suit alleges negligence and negligence per se on the part of the defendant leading to personal injuries sustained by the plaintiff.

The lawsuit states that on October 1, 2023, while working for Enterprise Offshore Drilling LLC and operating vessel 264 owned by the defendant, Pruett suffered serious injuries. These injuries occurred when a tank swung over and pinned him down without warning or correct flagging from the crane operator. As a result, Pruett suffered injuries to his knee, leg, ankle, back, and other parts of his body.

Pruett alleges that the defendant failed to provide proper equipment, maintain safe working conditions, inspect the vessel and its appurtenances among other violations. The plaintiff also claims that these events occurred as a proximate result of Defendant’s negligence in whole or in part.

Pruett seeks judgment for severe physical pain, mental anguish, physical impairment, disability, disfigurement and distress caused by the incident. He also claims loss of past and future earning capacity as well as incurred pharmaceutical and medical expenses in connection with his injuries. The plaintiff is further seeking an award for maintenance and cure obligations which he alleges were willfully ignored by the defendant.
