Jaime Capistran has filed a lawsuit against Raul Torres and Angie Torres in the District Court of Harris County, Texas (Court Case ID: 2024-29714), on May 9, 2024. The case involves allegations of negligence resulting from an incident at the defendants' residence on July 4, 2022.

According to the complaint, Jaime Capistran was attending a party at the defendants' home when another guest, Jose Valdez, attempted to force him into a swimming pool without his consent. Following this, Raul Torres allegedly ran towards Capistran and collided with his left shoulder, causing significant injury. As a result of this incident, Capistran suffered a full-thickness tear of the distal supraspinatus and a high-grade partial tear of the subscapularis tendon in his left shoulder.

Capistran is represented by attorneys John A. Davis Jr. and Peter H. Dadinis. He is seeking monetary relief exceeding $250,000 but not more than $1,000,000 for physical pain and mental anguish, loss of earning capacity, physical impairment, and medical care expenses both past and future.

The plaintiff demands judgment against the defendants for actual damages within the court's jurisdictional limits, exemplary damages as allowed by law, prejudgment and post-judgment interest as allowed by law, costs of suit, and all other relief to which he may be entitled.
