Nicolle Moreno has filed a lawsuit against Russchelle Francis Offray in the District Court of Harris County, Texas, under case ID 2024-29300 on May 7, 2024. The lawsuit stems from an incident involving alleged negligence by Offray while driving for Lyft.

On May 22, 2023, Moreno was a paying passenger in Offray's vehicle. After arriving at Memorial City Mall, Moreno was injured when Offray began to drive away before she had fully exited the vehicle. This resulted in Moreno being knocked to the ground and dragged several feet, leading to physical injuries and subsequent medical treatment.

Moreno is represented by attorney Daragh Carter from Smith & Hassler. She seeks damages not exceeding $250,000 for physical pain, medical expenses, physical impairment, loss of earning capacity, and interest. The plaintiff requests that all produced documents be used without authentication as per Rule 193.7 of the Texas Rules of Civil Procedure.
