On January 14, 2024, Citlalli Vazquez Solano filed a negligence complaint in the Harris County Civil Court at Law No. 2 against Jemaron, Inc. and Greenridge Place Ltd., doing business as Greenridge Place Apartments.

The plaintiff, Citlalli Vazquez Solano, who resides in Houston, Texas, initiated this legal action following an incident that occurred on May 5, 2023. According to the court documents, while walking within the premises of Greenridge Place Apartments located at 3000 Greenridge Drive in Houston, she was struck by a large piece of furniture thrown from a balcony by maintenance workers employed by the defendants. The lawsuit claims that the defendants' negligence and failure to ensure proper safety measures directly resulted in her injuries.

The petition outlines several allegations against Jemaron, Inc., which is identified as the general partner of Greenridge Place Ltd., and thus responsible for managing daily operations at Greenridge Place Apartments. Among the accusations are failures to provide adequate training for maintenance workers on handling and disposing of furniture properly; maintaining a safe environment within the apartment complex; taking reasonable precautions to prevent harm to residents; warning or protecting residents from potential dangers posed by their employees' actions; ensuring compliance with established safety protocols; and preventing foreseeable harm due to negligent actions.

In her filing, Vazquez Solano detailed the severe impact of the incident on her life. She is seeking monetary relief amounting to $250,000 for past and present physical pain and suffering, future physical pain and suffering, medical expenses (both past and future), inconvenience (both past and future), loss of earnings or income (both past and future), loss of household services, mental or emotional pain and anguish (both past and future), loss of enjoyment of life (both past and future), along with pre-judgment and post-judgment interest on all damage awards.

Represented by attorney Rhemalyn Nolasco from Rhemalegal.com based in Houston, TX., Vazquez Solano has requested that citation be issued requiring the defendants to appear in court. The case has been assigned Docket No. 227867 with Judge Teneshia Hudspeth presiding over it.
