A slip-and-fall incident at a laundromat has led to a legal battle in Harris County, Texas. Osman Reyes filed a complaint on September 30, 2024, against SRS Investment LLC, Sheza LLC, and RSS Business LLC doing business as Airline Washateria. The lawsuit accuses the defendants of negligence and premises liability after Reyes suffered severe injuries due to unsafe conditions at their property.

The complaint was filed in the District Court of Harris County by Osman Reyes, who resides in the same county. According to the petition, the incident occurred on September 15, 2023, when Reyes slipped on an unknown substance while visiting the Airline Washateria located on Airline Drive in Houston. Reyes claims there were no warnings or signs indicating potential hazards on the floor where he fell. As a result of this fall, he sustained serious personal injuries and is seeking compensation for medical expenses and other damages.

Reyes's lawsuit alleges that the defendants were negligent in maintaining their premises and failed to provide adequate warnings about dangerous conditions. The plaintiff argues that the defendants either created or should have been aware of these hazardous conditions through reasonable care but did not take appropriate action to rectify them or warn patrons like himself. The petition states that "Defendants knew or in the exercise of ordinary care should have known of the unreasonably dangerous condition" and that their failure to act constitutes negligence.

The lawsuit seeks monetary relief ranging from $250,000 to $1 million for various damages including past and future medical expenses, physical pain and suffering, mental anguish, loss of enjoyment of life, and more. Additionally, Reyes requests prejudgment interest and court costs as part of his compensation package. He also demands a jury trial to resolve this matter.

Representing Osman Reyes is attorney Nate P. Manginello from The Manginello Law Firm PLLC based in Houston. The case has been assigned Case ID 2024-67487 with Judge Wanda Chambers presiding over proceedings.
