A serious construction accident has led to a legal battle in Harris County, Texas. Jorge Alberto Guevara Loredo filed a complaint on December 26, 2024, against Frankel Homes, LTD and Alfredo Bartolo in the District Court of Harris County. The lawsuit stems from an incident that occurred earlier this year, on January 25, at a construction site controlled by the defendants.

According to the complaint, Jorge Alberto Guevara Loredo was working on framing tasks on the second floor of a construction site located at 17 West Rivercrest, Houston, Texas. The scaffold he was using suddenly broke due to alleged negligence by Frankel Homes and Alfredo Bartolo. As a result of this incident, Loredo suffered severe and permanent injuries. The plaintiff claims that the defendants failed in their duty to provide a safe working environment by not properly training or supervising him and neglecting to maintain safe conditions at the job site. "Defendants committed acts and/or omissions of negligence," states the petition, listing failures such as inadequate safety procedures and insufficient inspection of equipment.

Loredo is seeking monetary relief exceeding $250,000 but less than $1 million for damages including medical expenses, pain and suffering, lost wages, and future loss of earning capacity. He also demands pre-judgment interest and any other relief deemed appropriate by the court. Furthermore, Loredo has requested a jury trial to resolve these issues.

The case is being handled by attorneys Sarah Y-Nhi Huynh, Paul Savinov, and Michael Alvarez from Huynh Law Firm representing Jorge Alberto Guevara Loredo. The case is filed under Case ID 2024-89037 in the 190th Judicial District Court with Judge Brianna Janel Denmon presiding.
