A Texas resident has filed a lawsuit against a local business, alleging negligence that resulted in severe injuries. Roger Williams initiated the complaint against Super La Mexicana, LLC, on February 21, 2025, in the District Court of Harris County.
The case centers around an incident that occurred on December 29, 2023, when Roger Williams visited the Super La Mexicana store located at 10002 Stella Link Road in Houston. According to the petition, Williams was walking into the store when he tripped over a floor mat and sustained serious bodily injuries. The plaintiff asserts that he was an invitee on the property and had received no warnings about any potential hazards. The lawsuit claims that the defendant's failure to maintain safe premises directly led to Williams' injuries.
Williams accuses Super La Mexicana of multiple acts of negligence under premises liability law. These include failing to maintain a safe walkway for pedestrians, not warning him of dangerous conditions, allowing hazardous conditions to persist, and neglecting proper supervision and management of employees responsible for maintaining safety standards. "Defendant owed duties to Plaintiff including but not limited to maintaining a reasonably safe environment," states the petition.
In terms of relief sought, Williams is asking for monetary compensation ranging from $1 million to $10 million. The damages claimed cover past and future medical expenses, physical pain and suffering, loss of earnings and earning capacity, loss of household services, disfigurement, and mental anguish. Additionally, Williams has requested a jury trial and seeks pre-judgment interest from the date of the incident through judgment day at maximum legal rates.
