Presha Denise Lewis has taken legal action against an individual, accusing them of negligence that resulted in a serious car accident. On April 4, 2025, Presha Denise Lewis filed a complaint in the District Court of Harris County, Texas, against Jabravian Dewayne Jordan.
The lawsuit stems from an incident on September 22, 2024, when Lewis was traveling through Harris County and was involved in a collision caused by Jordan. The plaintiff claims that Jordan's failure to exercise proper care while driving led to the accident and her subsequent injuries. According to the petition, "Defendant had a duty to exercise the degree of care that a person of ordinary prudence would use to avoid harm to others." However, Lewis argues that Jordan failed in this duty by not maintaining a proper lookout for safety, failing to yield appropriately, and not keeping a safe distance between vehicles. Additionally, it is alleged that Jordan was driving at an excessive speed and did not apply brakes in time to prevent the collision.
As a result of these actions, Lewis suffered significant bodily injuries and incurred various damages. She is seeking monetary relief for medical expenses both past and future, physical pain and suffering endured as well as anticipated future suffering. The complaint also details losses such as past earnings and potential future earning capacity due to her injuries. Furthermore, Lewis is claiming compensation for mental anguish experienced now and expected later on. Property damage related to the vehicle involved in the accident is also part of her claim.
In terms of legal proceedings, Lewis is requesting that Jabravian Dewayne Jordan be summoned to court and held accountable for his actions. She seeks judgment within the jurisdictional limits of the court which includes pre-judgment interest from the date of injury until judgment day along with post-judgment interest at legal rates plus court costs among other reliefs deemed appropriate by law or equity.
