In a gripping legal confrontation, a Texas resident has filed a lawsuit against a major technology company following an alleged slip-and-fall incident. On March 13, 2025, Maria Rodes lodged her complaint in the District Court of Harris County, Texas, accusing Hewlett Packard Enterprise Company of negligence that led to her injuries.

The lawsuit stems from an incident on February 4, 2025, when Maria Rodes visited Hewlett Packard's premises at 1701 E. Mossy Oaks Road in Spring, Texas. During her visit as an invitee, she reportedly slipped on liquid present on the floor due to the absence of any warning signs about the wet condition. Rodes asserts that surveillance footage captured the circumstances leading to and following her fall, including how long the water had been on the floor without any intervention by the company.

Rodes' claim is rooted in premises liability and negligence laws under Texas common law. She argues that Hewlett Packard Enterprise Company was aware or should have been aware of the hazardous condition but failed to rectify it or adequately warn visitors like herself. The complaint highlights several points of negligence: failure to maintain safe conditions on walkways, lack of proper inspection and correction measures for dangerous conditions, negligent operations on-site, and inadequate training and supervision of employees.

Maria Rodes seeks monetary relief not exceeding $250,000 for damages such as past and future medical expenses, pain and suffering, mental anguish, physical impairment and disfigurement resulting from the incident. She also demands pre-judgment and post-judgment interest along with all court costs incurred during this legal process.

Representing Maria Rodes is attorney Jesus A. Salinas from Daspit Law Firm based in Houston. The case has been assigned Case ID 2025-17355 in Harris County's 80th District Court with Judge Patricia Jones presiding over it.
