BEAUMONT - 3rd Generation Trucking was recently hit with a lawsuit alleging one of its 18-wheeler driver’s “smashed” into another vehicle and then fled the scene.

Seeking more than $1 million in damages, Vincent Wycoff filed suit against 3rd Generation Trucking on Oct. 30 in Jefferson County District Court.

According to the lawsuit, on June 3 Wycoff was traveling on I-10 when 3rd Generation’s driver made an unsafe lane change and “smashed” into his vehicle.

“After the wreck, Officer Kenneth Bean of the Beaumont Police Department conducted a thorough investigation and found Defendant 3rd’s driver to be the sole cause of the wreck,” the suit states. “Instead of rendering aid, Defendant 3rd’S driver fled the scene.”

Wycoff is suing for his past and future medical expenses, mental anguish, impairment and disfigurement.

Attorney Cody Dishon of The Ferguson Law Firm represents him.

Judge Baylor Wortham, 136th District Court, has been assigned to the case.

Case No. D-206529
