Scott Donahoe has filed a lawsuit against Molson Coors Beverage Company USA LLC, and Molson Coors USA LLC in the District Court of Harris County, Texas. The case, with ID 2024-21 81 0 and dated April 5, 2024, alleges that the defendants' product caused severe bodily harm to the plaintiff.

Donahoe, a resident of Harris County, purchased a six-pack of Miller Lite twist-off bottles from his local HEB on December 5, 2021. Later that evening, after twisting off the cap from one of the bottles and taking a sip, he experienced sharp pain as he swallowed shards of glass present in the beer. Upon inspection, Donahoe discovered that the inside lip of the bottle was fractured and chipped.

The plaintiff claims that the bottle was defective and posed significant risk to consumers. He argues that there were no warnings on the bottle or packaging about potential contaminants such as glass. The damages sought are within the jurisdictional limits of this court.

Donahoe is seeking monetary relief over $250,000 but not more than $1,000,000. He also seeks pre-judgment and post-judgment interest at the highest legal rate. A jury will determine the amount of monetary relief awarded.
