Laura Herrera has filed a lawsuit against Robert Jozwiak, Sr. in the District Court of Harris County, Texas under the case number 2024-23163. The suit was filed on April 11, 2024 and is centered around an incident involving a dog attack that resulted in personal injuries to the plaintiff.

Herrera alleges that while walking near Jozwiak's residence at 4208 Center Street, Houston, Texas on April 19, 2022, she was bitten by his large dog. The plaintiff claims that the defendant failed to properly restrain and control his animal leading to her injuries which included puncture wounds to her left hand.

The lawsuit asserts that Jozwiak violated his duty of care towards Herrera by failing to prevent his dog from causing harm. In addition to negligence, the suit accuses Jozwiak of violating The City of Houston Code of Ordinances which prohibits dogs from being at large without direct physical control from their owner.

Herrera is seeking damages for physical pain and mental anguish, physical impairment, disfigurement, and medical expenses incurred both in the past and anticipated in the future due to this incident.
