Eloisa Ruiz has filed a lawsuit against Luis Alexander Hernandez and Tri Star Freight System, Inc. in the Harris County - County Civil Court at Law No. 1 under the case ID 1229104 on March 27, 2024. The plaintiff alleges that the defendants' negligence led to an accident causing her serious bodily injuries and significant damage.

Ruiz, a resident of Denton County, Texas, is represented by an unnamed lawyer. She accuses Hernandez of failing to keep a proper lookout, control speed, and perform safe maneuvers while driving. The incident resulted in substantial damages costing $250,000 or less according to the Texas Rules of Civil Procedure Rule 190.2.

In addition to accusing Hernandez of negligence, Ruiz also holds Tri Star Freight System accountable for negligent hiring practices that led to employing Hernandez as a truck driver. The plaintiff asserts that these negligent actions directly contributed to her injuries and subsequent damages.

Ruiz seeks judgment against both defendants for their alleged negligence and seeks recovery for damages resulting from the accident.
