Tyler Way has filed a lawsuit against Fugro USA Marine, Inc., Crowley Maritime Corporation, and Tidewater Inc. in the District Court of Harris County, Texas. The case ID is 2024-2591 2 and was filed on April 22, 2024.

The plaintiff alleges that he sustained occupational injuries on May 13, 2022, due to the negligence of the defendants' employees or agents while working onboard the M/V Regulus. The vessel was owned and operated by the defendants and was performing core sampling off the coast of Massachusetts at the time of the incident.

Way claims that he was forced to move heavy equipment in dangerous weather conditions due to project delays. He got entangled in winch lines and slid across the deck lacking proper non-skid surfaces, resulting in severe injuries to his head, left shoulder, left knee, neck, and back.

The plaintiff is seeking damages for his injuries exceeding the minimum jurisdictional limits of the court. He alleges that any pre-existing medical conditions were aggravated by this incident to such an extent that they became disabling.
