A Houston resident is suing a local business for injuries sustained on their premises, alleging negligence and seeking substantial monetary relief. Brayan Perdomo filed the complaint against RSS Business, LLC, doing business as Airline Washateria, in Harris County District Court on August 9, 2024.

According to the lawsuit, Perdomo was injured on June 26, 2024, while visiting Airline Washateria located at 9802 Airline Drive C in Houston. The plaintiff claims that he was an invitee at the laundromat when a chair provided by the establishment collapsed under him, causing significant injury. "There were no warning signs present or any other signs of caution near the area where the incident occurred," states the complaint. Perdomo asserts that he had no knowledge of the dangerous condition and could not have reasonably been expected to discover it.

The plaintiff argues that RSS Business, LLC failed in its duty as both occupier and owner of the premises by not maintaining a safe environment. Specifically, Perdomo accuses the defendant of failing to maintain their chairs in a reasonably safe condition, neglecting to inspect areas where dangerous conditions existed, and not taking reasonable measures to safeguard customers. Furthermore, Perdomo alleges that RSS Business did not inform him about the hazardous condition that led to his injuries.

Perdomo is seeking monetary relief ranging from $250,000 to $1 million for damages including medical expenses (both past and future), pain and suffering, mental anguish, physical impairment, and disfigurement. The plaintiff has also requested pre- and post-judgment interest along with all court costs. In addition to these financial demands, Perdomo has called for a jury trial to resolve this matter.

Representing Brayan Perdomo is attorney Brad M. Stauber from Daspit Law Firm PLLC. The case has been assigned Case ID 2024-51936 and will be overseen by judges from Harris County District Court.
