Barbara Brown has filed a lawsuit against Phuong Thien Nam LLC, doing business as T & N Washateria, alleging negligence that resulted in personal injury. The complaint was filed on October 25, 2024, in the District Court of Harris County, Texas. Brown claims she suffered injuries due to unsafe conditions at the laundromat owned by the defendant.

According to the petition, Barbara Brown visited T & N Washateria on December 1, 2023. During her visit to the laundromat located at 8621 West Airport Boulevard in Houston, Texas, she slipped on a wet floor near the entrance. The lawsuit states that there were no warning signs indicating the slippery condition and accuses Phuong Thien Nam LLC of failing to maintain a safe environment for its customers. "Defendant owned and maintained the subject premises," reads the complaint. It further alleges that Phuong Thien Nam LLC was negligent by allowing dangerous conditions to persist without adequate warnings or measures to safeguard customers.

Brown's legal team argues that Phuong Thien Nam LLC breached its duty of care by not ensuring the safety of its premises. The complaint outlines several accusations against the defendant, including negligence in maintaining safe conditions and failing to warn patrons about potential hazards. Specifically, it mentions that "Defendants owed Plaintiff a duty to exercise ordinary care" and failed in their responsibility as owners and occupiers of the property.

The plaintiff is seeking monetary relief ranging from $250,000 to $1 million for damages incurred due to her injuries. This includes compensation for past and future medical expenses, pain and suffering, physical impairment and disfigurement, lost wages, and loss of earning capacity. Additionally, Brown demands a jury trial and requests pre-judgment interest along with post-judgment interest as part of her relief from the court.

Representing Barbara Brown are attorneys Sarah Y-Nhi Huynh, Paul Savinov, and Michael Alvarez from The Huynh Lam Firm PLLC based in Houston. The case is assigned Case ID 2024-74611 under Judge Tayler Hatcher in Harris County's 127th Judicial District Court.
