Channel Partners Capital, LLC has filed a lawsuit against The Rock Ministries International Church of God in Christ, Incorporated, alleging breach of contract. The complaint was filed on February 28, 2025, in the District Court of Harris County, Texas. Channel Partners Capital claims that The Rock Ministries defaulted on payments under a Master Equipment Finance Agreement.
The dispute centers around an agreement dated September 7, 2021, between The Rock Ministries and Hampton Ridge Financial LLC for financing certain equipment over a sixty-month term. This agreement was later assigned to Channel Partners Capital on September 8, 2022. According to the complaint, The Rock Ministries failed to make the required payments as stipulated in the agreement, leading to a default. Channel Partners Capital asserts that this breach entitles them to accelerate the maturity of the entire indebtedness and demand immediate payment.
Channel Partners Capital is seeking monetary relief amounting to $66,846.89 from The Rock Ministries. This sum represents the outstanding balance due under the breached agreement. Additionally, they are pursuing recovery based on quantum meruit for goods and services provided to The Rock Ministries that remain unpaid. Channel Partners Capital argues that The Rock Ministries knowingly accepted these goods and services with an understanding that payment was expected.
In their prayer for relief, Channel Partners Capital requests judgment against The Rock Ministries for $66,846.89 plus pre-judgment and post-judgment interest as allowed by law. They also seek reimbursement for court costs and reasonable attorneys' fees incurred while enforcing their rights under the agreement. Attorneys Burt Lyn and Joni M. Fraser from Lam, Lyn & Philip P.C., represent Channel Partners Capital in this case before Judge Bernitta Barrett in Court No. 61 with Case ID 2025-13729.
