Ryan Guillory, a gym member, has filed a lawsuit against two Texas-based corporations following an alleged assault incident at a fitness center. The complaint was lodged by Ryan Guillory on May 8, 2025, in the District Court of Harris County, Texas, naming Titan Fitness Texas, LLC doing business as Fitness Connection and District & Urban Texas Inc. as defendants.

The case stems from an incident that occurred on October 25, 2024, when Guillory was exercising at the Fitness Connection gym located in Humble, Texas. According to the petition, another gym member assaulted Guillory during his workout session. The plaintiff asserts that prior complaints had been made about the individual who attacked him but were ignored by the gym management. As a result of this oversight and subsequent attack, Guillory sustained injuries requiring medical attention and incurred related expenses.

Guillory's legal team accuses Titan Fitness Texas of negligence for failing to maintain a safe environment for its patrons. The allegations include not addressing known risks posed by certain individuals within their premises and inadequate supervision and training of staff responsible for overseeing gym activities. "Defendant had a duty to exercise the degree of care that a reasonably careful person would use to avoid harm," states the petition. Furthermore, District & Urban Texas Inc., as the property owner where the incident took place, is accused of negligent entrustment for allowing Titan Fitness to operate under unsafe conditions.

The plaintiff seeks monetary relief not exceeding $250,000 along with non-monetary compensation for physical pain and suffering endured due to this event. In addition to damages covering past and future medical expenses and lost wages resulting from his injuries, Guillory demands pre-judgment and post-judgment interest on any awarded sums.

Representing Ryan Guillory is attorney Aysia Mayo-Gray from KJ Jackson Law Offices PLLC based in Houston. The case has been assigned Case ID 2025-32713 in Harris County's 295th Judicial District Court under Judge Yasmin Creag.
