Angel De Leon has filed a lawsuit against Tau Bay Restaurant, alleging negligence and premises liability after suffering injuries from a slip-and-fall incident. The complaint was filed on February 7, 2025, in the District Court of Harris County, Texas, naming Tau Bay Restaurant as the defendant.

The incident occurred on September 25, 2024, when Angel De Leon visited Tau Bay Restaurant and slipped on a liquid substance leaking from the ceiling. This accident resulted in serious injuries for De Leon. The plaintiff claims that the restaurant's management failed to maintain safe premises and neglected to warn patrons about potential hazards. According to the petition, "Defendant knew or should have known an unreasonably dangerous condition existed which posed an unreasonable risk to the general public."

De Leon is seeking monetary relief ranging from $250,000 to $1 million for damages incurred due to medical expenses, pain and suffering, mental anguish, and other related costs. The plaintiff asserts that Tau Bay Restaurant's negligence in maintaining its property led directly to his injuries. The complaint outlines several causes of action against the restaurant: premise liability for failing to ensure safe conditions and negligence in not addressing or warning about the hazardous situation.

Furthermore, De Leon accuses Tau Bay Restaurant of negligent training and supervision of its employees. The petition highlights failures such as not adequately training staff on safety protocols or properly monitoring their adherence to maintenance procedures. As stated in the filing, "Defendant’s negligent supervision and retention contributed significantly to Plaintiff’s injuries."

In addition to financial compensation for damages suffered, Angel De Leon demands a jury trial for this case. He is represented by attorneys Daniel Johnson and Leticia Hernandez from Johnson Garcia LLP.

The case is being presided over by Judge Adiliani Solis under Case ID 2025-08799 in Harris County's 269th Judicial District Court.
