Isabella Yazmin Luna has filed a lawsuit against H.R.N. Inc., doing business as Bellfort Kar Care, alleging fraudulent practices related to the sale of a used vehicle. The complaint was filed on February 19, 2025, in the District Court of Harris County, Texas. Luna accuses Bellfort Kar Care of engaging in deceptive trade practices and fraudulent inducement when selling her a vehicle.

According to the court documents, Luna purchased a 2021 Toyota Corolla from Bellfort Kar Care on June 12, 2024. The dealership allegedly misrepresented the car as having only one minor accident and being fully inspected and roadworthy. However, Luna claims that she later discovered several issues with the vehicle, including an altered odometer reading and missing airbags that had been concealed by tampered sensors. Furthermore, it was revealed that the car had an out-of-state junk salvage title at the time of sale, contrary to its representation as "used."

Luna's lawsuit highlights multiple violations under the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act (DTPA), citing false representations about the vehicle's condition and legality for road use. She argues that these misrepresentations were intentional and designed to induce her into purchasing the car under false pretenses. "Defendant knew this was materially false," states Luna in her petition, emphasizing that Bellfort Kar Care actively concealed critical information about the vehicle's safety features.

The plaintiff is seeking monetary relief not exceeding $250,000 for damages incurred due to these alleged deceptive practices. This includes reimbursement for the purchase price of $15,970.47 and additional costs for repairs necessitated by undisclosed defects. Moreover, Luna seeks multiple damages under Texas law for what she describes as knowing or intentional acts by Bellfort Kar Care.

Luna is represented by attorneys Davis Trent Taylor II, Douglas S. Alford, German Lara, Stacey Nwosu, and Marco Gonzalez from The Gonzalez Law Group PLLC. The case is assigned to Judge Talitha McCarty in Harris County District Court under Case ID 2025-11384.
