Port Neches woman asks for testimony in anticipated wrongful death claim

A Port Neches woman is asking to depose a man in anticipation of a wrongful death lawsuit she expects to file after he passes away. Sharon LaRue filed a petition to perpetuate the testimony of Aaron McBride. The petition was filed Aug. 25 in Jefferson County District Court.

A Port Arthur man accused of defaulting on a credit card account is being asked to pay more than $11,000. LVNV Funding filed a complaint against Francisco Gonzalez on Aug. 21 in Jefferson County District Court. According to the complaint, Gonzalez owes $11,453 on a credit card account that he has failed to repay, creating a default. The owners of a Nederland organic and herbal store allege the owner of a similar company is slandering them. Alisha Ortego, individually and doing business as Down To Earth, and Vanlam Nguyen, individually and doing business as Down to Earth, filed a lawsuit Aug. 25 in Jefferson County District Court against Debra Peck, also known as Tina and Cindy and doing business as Herbal Insanity.

A Beaumont woman is being asked to pay more than $13,000 after allegedly defaulting on a credit card account.LVNV Funding filed a complaint against Brandi Fisk on Aug. 21 in Jefferson County District Court. According to the complaint, Fisk has a credit card account that she failed to repay, creating a default. LVNV Funding says it bought the account and is owed the remaining balance which was $13,183
