A serious slip-and-fall incident at a local grocery store has led to a lawsuit filed by the injured party. On January 9, 2025, Alynna Luvianos lodged a complaint against Lewis Food Town, Inc. in the District Court of Harris County, Texas. The case centers around an accident that occurred on November 23, 2023, at one of the defendant's stores located on West Sam Houston Parkway in Houston.

The plaintiff, Alynna Luvianos, alleges that she was shopping as an invitee at the Food Town store when she slipped on detergent spilled on the floor. She claims that Lewis Food Town was aware of the spill but failed to take necessary precautions to prevent accidents. "Defendant was aware of the spill prior to Plaintiff falling," states the petition. Luvianos accuses Lewis Food Town of negligence and premises liability for not maintaining a safe environment for customers. Her legal team argues that the company neglected its duty by allowing dangerous conditions to persist and failing to warn customers about potential hazards.

Luvianos is seeking monetary relief exceeding $250,000 but less than $1 million for damages including medical expenses, pain and suffering, lost wages, and other related costs. She emphasizes her right to amend this claim if necessary as more details emerge during discovery. Her attorneys are pursuing judgment for actual damages along with pre- and post-judgment interest.

Represented by Huynh Law PLLC attorneys Sarah Y-Nhi Huynh, Pavel “Paul” Savinov, and Michael Alvarez, Luvianos demands a jury trial to resolve this matter. The case is identified under Cause No. 2025-01-648 in the 189th Judicial District Court of Harris County.
